Hong Kong & Home

On our way home to Canada, we took advantage of our layover in Hong Kong and extended it for a few days in order to see the city a bit and take time to ourselves before hitting Canadian soil. It is a beautiful city to visit: tons of people, efficient metro system, Western feel and lots and lots of high rises. It was exciting to be there after being in the Indonesian village for so long. It felt rather overwhelming and organized. :) Here are some pics:

We visited Hong Kong Disneyland while we were there. Not as great as the Disneyland in California, but it was fun none-the-less!

We went to a beautiful view top, taking the world's steepest tram to the top of the mountain. This is what we saw at the top. Amazing!!

Now we are back in Canada, having finished a 4-day debrief on the Island and starting to settle into the business of relaxing and catching up with family and friends. We're not gonna work for a while which will help us to remember how to rest. Still haven't seen all of our immediate family and most of our friends so if you're wondering why we haven't contacted you yet, you're not alone! Because we plan on sticking around, we're gonna take our time making our way around to see people in a non-rushed manner.
