The Butte

Lone Butte, that is.

it's the gigantic cylindrical rock that juts out of the earth all lonely like. Kinda interesting that a town/village grew up around it....who knows when.

We climbed it on Sunday - my guess was that it would take about 30 minutes; Russ' guess was that it would take 10.

He was right.

Here's what we saw from the top...so great! It was really windy up there...and cold. Brrr!

Love the contrast of the last Lone Butte picture - naked trees, everything brown, snow on the ground - and the next picture is a beautiful sunset on the beach in PV. Cool pictures! Can't wait for you to take us for a hike!!
