The learning curve of a baby amazes me. In about 2 weeks, Akeyla went from not being able to pick up cheerios by herself to getting almost every one in her mouth. When she learned how to clap, it only took her to copy it a few times before she would clap just by hearing a verbal instruction.
as of today, this smart little monkey has 5 teeth, is eating everything we put in front of her and is a pro at chewing her food. She's beginning to show personality and is starting to demand things that she wants. She loves being outside and loves pounding on the piano - whether it's her toy piano, or my new real piano.
Oh! on that note, I got a piano! It's a beautiful old Hamilton Upright Grand, built in 1900. The sound is very pure, as my young cousin pointed out and the body of it has been well taken care of. I feel like our house is now complete. :) As a friend's mom put it, it's like an old friend came home.
Anyway, here are some pics of the little munchkin, whom we love oh so very much.
I gave her an eaten corn on the cob to chew. She LOVED it. Sucked out all the juice and got any last remnants of corn off of it that she could!
Russ FINALLY got his first and second fish at Canim Lake this past weekend. This was a nice 6-pound Laker and the other was a 6-pound Burbot! Yummy!
Akeyla loved getting rides in the wagon by Oma and a few different Aunties. Honestly. How much more cute can she get?!?
At Canim over the weekend, she proved that she's a tough cookie and survived multiple mosquito bites and handled being outside like a star. She let all her aunts and uncles and cousins cuddle her and charmed them all to bits.

We love her to bits too! She is so beautiful and it was so great to spend some time with all of you!
Oh the cuteness! (no, not Russ kissing his fish!)
Max has mentioned Akeyla a few times in the past few weeks. So cute, and I'm glad he seems to have made a connection with your little family. I've been wondering about your piano search - congratulations! Picture, please!
What a wonderful photo commentary of our beautiful Akeyla. It is such fun to see her growing, learning and charming the world around her. Thanks for a wonderful visit and for such a great day with all the family at Canim Lake. We loved it. hugs Mum
She's a cutie!

She is growing up so fast! What a cutie - wish I could kiss those cheeks in person :)
